The goal of this project was to create an innovative business idea with a sustainable business model. Due to past restrictions due to Covid-19 and the need for more environmentally friendly travel alternatives, my team and I invented VacationWalking.

VacationWalking aims to offer vacation-like walks right at your doorstep with built-in community features and an overview of your saved CO₂. VacationWalking is based on a Freemium Model with premium features, including rewards for the saved CO₂, as well as exclusive events, for a monthly subscription fee.

We implemented the website using React, JavaScript, HTML and CSS with MongoDB for the database. My main coding areas covered the home page and walks overview page which showcases all available walks including the filtering functionality, as well as the PayPal payment integration. The website is currently only running locally due to ongoing development.
