ROLE
Workshop Designer, Instructor, Game Developer
The Technical University Munich offers a coding workshop for high school girls who are interested in computer science once a year. This three-day workshop provides a great opportunity for the girls to explore technology, improve or learn some programming skills and most importantly have fun.
I had the great opportunity to lead this workshop together with three of my fellow students and create fun and interesting activities with a focus on computer science.
In order to teach basic programming concepts in a playful way, I designed and developed four games using the Berkeley Snap! programming language for kids. During the workshop, I guided 10 girls through the implementation of these games and offered difficulty adjustments, e.g. making a game multi-player instead of single-player, depending on their programming speed and skillset.
